What People Have to Say

Below are trip advisor reviews we have gathered over the years...

Such a wonderful place to stay

The wonderfully appointed B&B was made more special by the warm welcome and fabulous cooking from Glenda and Bob. They made us feel very special and extended their knowledge of the park and locality for us to really make the most of our all too short time spent in Jasper National Park. We saw lots of wildlife and a Black Bear on the way home near the house. Will definitely be back if we return to Jasper National Park . Great Waffles too :-)

Best B&B in Jasper!

My husband and I were looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of day-to-day life (in Kelowna) and so we decided to head to Jasper for a couple of days. Wyndswept was the PERFECT place to do just that. From Bob's scrumptious waffles and fruit and coffee (not to mention entertaining tales and knowledge of the area) to Glenda's care and thoughtfulness to our day activities, we really enjoyed our stay. Our bedroom even had an iPhone docking station so we could charge our iPhones (we both forgot to pack our chargers!). I felt like such a tourist in my own country as I snapped pics of the big horn sheep and elk on the 35min drive from downtown Jasper to Wyndswept!! Won't be our last visit, that's for sure! (Try to book the Pocohontas room.....the view of the Rockies is worth a million bucks!)

Fantastic view and great B & B

We really enjoyed our stay here. Bob and Glenda were so friendly and helpful. When we arrived Glenda told us she had upgraded us to the Pocahontas room, as the folks who were in there cancelled. So we were delighted and thought that a most kind gesture. The view from this room is stupendous! To sit and watch the sun go down on the balcony was fantastic, serenaded by Bob on his guitar way below. The accomodation is great, a huge super comfy bed, every amenity, an excellent shower and a walk in wardrobe. Wyndswept is about 40 mins from Jasper, but this is not a problem, as the drive is fantastic with lots of wildlife and scenery. There is a restaurant about 5 mins away and lots of eateries in Hinton. We were also so grateful to Glenda and Bob for telling us about the Beaver Boardwalk in Hinton, one of the highlights of our trip. It is also nice to be able to walk from the B & B, we enjoyed that too. A great place to stay!

Great B&B in Jasper National Park

My husband and I spent 2 nights at Wyndswept whilst visiting Jasper National Park and found this to be an excellent base for days trips. The location and views were spectacular not a bad back yard. The Pocahontas room which we stayed in had superb views of the Rockies. Our hosts Bob and Glenda gave excellent and attentive service and served a beautiful breakfast which certainly sets you up for the day. We would definitely stay at Wyndswept again.

Great B&B

Glenda & Bob were just such friendly hosts. Nice room with seperate TV snug, breakfast certainly set us up for the day, with Glenda providing a complimentary flask of tea with muffins to take with us on our day out exploring Jasper with the suggested itinerary Glenda gave us detailing some of the sights to see on a day around Jasper. Well worth the ride through the beautiful scenery of the Jasper National Park.

SOOO Worth IT!!

We spent three nights at Wyndswept and we are so very glad we did. We wanted to be out of town and we wanted to get away from the regular tourist centre. The drive from Jasper out to Wyndswept is spectacular and over the three days we racked up a few hundred Km on the rental between Jasper, Hinton and the sights. We saw wildlife every time we got in the car. I don't think we would have seen as much had we chosen to stay in town. The room was very nice. The bed extremely comfortable and the breakfasts had us contemplating the need for dieting when we got home. All in all a great place to stay. On a personal note I would like to thank Glenda fr the trouble she went to trying to organise a helicopter for us and for changing the routine to accommodate our changed program.

Swept away by 'Wyndswept'”

My husband and I decided to stay at Wyndswept because we didn't want to stay in the heavy tourist areas. Wyndswept may not be right in the heart of Jasper but it is only a 30 to 40 minute drive which is a pleasure as the scenery is amazing. We loved being able to get up in the morning and go for drives to spot animals. We stayed in the Pocahontas room which was lovely. Plenty of space, very comfortable bed and a spectacular view! We had a nice little deck where we could sit and take in the view. Bob and Glenda are the perfect hosts! We felt like it was a home away from home. We were treated to an amazing breakfast each morning along with freshly baked goodies to take with us on our day trips. Bob and Glenda were a wealth of knowledge about Jasper and the surrounding areas.. Who better to tell you about the local wildlife and flora than people who live there. It was really nice to have a chat over breakfast about where we could go and what we would see that day. Glenda even put together a suggested itinerary for two days which came in handy!

Brilliant Canadian hospitality with luxury

The beautiful drive from Jasper..seeing elk and bear on the way...and the fantastic quality of this b&b really made my trip. Glenda and Bob are incredibly welcoming , full of great stories and advice on what to see and where to go, but don't intrude on your privacy. Some of the best breakfasts I have had during my three week trip. The Pocahontas room exceeded expectations...to sit in the jacuzzi bath and watch the sun go down over the mountains through the floor to ceiling windows was a perfect end to the day.

Loved it.....and I don't like B & B's!

Most B & B's infringe on my sense of privacy, but not this one. I have settled for the anonymity of hotels, putting up with parking lot views, the clatter of rolling suitcases in the halls, the partying or crying children of neighbours. Anyway. go to Wyndswept instead. We stayed in 2 of the 3 little "suites". Why? #1) quiet and private! The 3 "suites" are on the opposite ends of the top floor. Glenda & Bob live downstairs. You can relax in your own space. 2) Like a view? The pocohontas room has an awesome view of trees, mountains and the wilds, ..what you came here for. The pansey room has a deck overlooking wilderness forest with comfortable loungers. 3) Tired of being kooped up in a standard hotel room with a noisey spouse who watches TV after midnight ? Try the chickadee suite., It has a separate wide screen TV room so you can shut the door and sleep. 4) Tired of spending $$ in pricey tourist filled restaurants that don't serve your kind of food? Use the microwaves/ refrigerator/ coffee pot in each suite. And speaking of food.....breakfast certainly isn't frosted flakes, doughnuts, powdered eggs, and lofat yogurt cups. This "breakfast included" is REAL food, cooked to order. Just let Glenda know beforehand and Voila! At any rate, I slept like a rock, breakfast took me through most of the day, toasted my husband with real wine glasses in the evening, and profitted from alot of personal tips on how to see and enjoy the best of Jasper.

Great B&B, friendly and homely

Lovely place, amazingly gracious and thoughtful hosts, brilliant breakfasts, great location, suberb bed and luxurious bedding, nothing too much trouble for Glenda and Bob. Highly recommended and worth staying out of Jasper to experience this great accommodation. Choice of restaurants locally not massive, but we had a very memorable meal at the Overlander, which although on the upper end of the cost scale, was well worth it, both for the food and the view.

A fantastic time in Jasper

We chose the Wyndswept as it's a little way out of town (which some people seem to see as a negative?) and because it offered a full breakfast. The location is fantastic, the view from our room (the Pocahontas room) was beautiful and yes, it is about a 40 minute drive into Jasper but we had some of our best wildlife viewings (bears, elk, mountain goats, big horned sheep) on the drive into town. Glenda is lovely, her breakfasts are amazing and she providid us with an itenerary, a flask of coffee and banana bread or muffins every day. Jasper National Park is absolutely breath taking, with stunning lakes, moutains and a huge amount of wildlife, we will definitely be returning here one day and when we do we will definitely be booking back into the Wyndswept.

An unforgettable view

We were warmly welcomed at Wyndswept where we stayed in the Pocahontas Room. From here there is an unforgettable view and only the road noise from below detracts from its beauty. The colours as the sun rises are particularly memorable, worth sleeping with the curtains back to catch it all. Breakfasts were good and we enjoyed the convivial company and lively conversations with Bob and fellow guests. Wyndswept is certainly a good B&B, but comparing it with the others that we stayed in during our trip to BC and Alberta which were equally good and in some cases had equally stunning views, it is expensive. Stayed September 2011, travelled as a couple

Just simply a great place to stay!

Jackie and I choose to stay at B&Bs on our trips because you generally meet such wonderful people - Wyndswept was no exception Bob and Glenda were lovely. Bob's breakfasts were delicious and his recommendations for things to see and do were really helpful. We booked the Chickadee room which was a great self contained haven after a day of hiking and sightseeing. It has it's own TV room, separate bathroom and also view to the garden and mountains. Although it's a longish drive to Jasper we enjoyed seeing the three bull Elk that were fattening themselves up on the roadside grass everyday. Our trip took us on a loop from Calgary through Jasper and Kamloops to Vancouver. Wyndswept was the perfect base for our time in and around Jasper.

Swept Away at Wyndswept

What a wonderful place to stay, we really couldn't praise it highly enough. The service, rooms, food, views etc are all absolutely first class. Glenda and Bob made us very welcome and gave excellent advice on places to visit and where to eat. We did wonder whether we should have stayed closer to Jasper - oh boy, are we glad we didn't! If you want to stay at a place that is excellent value, comfortable, friendly and with every facility you could ask for, Glenda and Bob are spot on. Thanks for everything - we will return!!!

Wyndswept-abreath of fresh air -travel wise!

There have been lots of praising reviews of Wyndswept and we want to thank thise reviewers that made us rearrange our trip to stay there. The rooms are spotless, the views from the rooms and the balconies are breathtaking. The breakfasts are wonderful. The Pocahontas Suite is a dream and worth waiting for if you have time. The hosts Bob and Glenda each in their own way are wonderful ro sit and talk over breakfast with. They are amazingly thoughtful with a rucksack in the room with bug spray, guide books to the wildlife to be seen and a bear bell. My companion admired the pansies at breakfast and by dinner we had a display in our room. I think that this will be one of the memories I treasure to my dying day and I am very restrained compared with my companion.

An absolute gem!!!

We spent two nights here, and loved it. Glenda and Bob are both very personable, and Bob did a fantastic job with breakfast, both savory and sweet. The views are fantastic, and the rooms very comfortable. They've really thought of everything, from the chocolates on the pillows to the backpacks, fitted out with bear bells, books about the area, and a variety of handy little things (i.e. tissues, hand sanitizer, binoculars, etc.), that you can take with you for the day. They are a bit far from Jasper, but the drive is beautiful, and the additional distance didn't really bother us. A note about the taking-the-shoes-off-at-the-door thing: I'm from the US, but I've traveled a bit around both eastern and western Canada, and I've found that this seems to be a Canadian tradition. It's just something you generally do, when going into a Canadian's home--you take your shoes off at the door. Anyway, we met some great people at our breakfasts, and had a lovely stay. We'd definitely go back!

Amazing B&B, Amazing setting, Great Hosts

We stayed in the Pocohontas room spacious and comfortable and the view was breathtaking, Bob and Glenda are gracious hosts went out of their way to pamper us. I require a Gluten Free diet and they provided me with a mouth watering and portions to feed two persons breakfast each day. The house is full of character and each breakfast Glenda decorated the table in a theme eg: brown bears. We highly recommend staying here.

Best B&B ever stayed at”

Definitly a great B&B

We stayed for 6 days at Wyndswept and felt all the time as at home, being pampered by Glenda and Bob for breakfast and with their comprehensive advise of activities, locations, and much useful information. We stayed at the Chickadee Suite and it was absolutely comfortable. Great bed, sleeping without any noise, great spacy bathroom and a TV room with fridge and microwave. Wyndswept has also a great terrace, although mosquito repelent may be necessary in summer.

Ahhhh!

The owners have built the upstairs of their new home into 3 guest rooms. Each is verywell-appointed and very comfortable. They have thought of everything, down to equipping the rooms with backpacks containing hiking equipment and raincoats. The breakfasts are superb.. be ready for a ton a great food presented in courses -- take the time to enjoy it. The views from the lovely kitchen/deck of the mountains are great. The area is spectacular. A bit far from Jasper, but close to a lot of wonderful areas to hike, hot springs, etc. Just amazing...

FANTASTIC!!! I will recommend this to EVERYONE!

My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon and out of all the places that we stayed though out our honey moon this was by far the best place!. It was clean and spacious. Glenda and Bob were very good hosts, very friendly, helpful and great cooks, Glenda even offered to do some laundry for us! We stayed in the Pocahontas suite and the view was amazing. (I read someone else review and they claimed the windows didn't open....let me clear that up - the windows in this room DO OPEN!) and there is a door that leads straight out to the (practically) private deck. The room we have a large bathroom, very modern with a large jacuzzi tub. My husband and I have never stayed at a bed and breakfast before, so we don't really have anything to compare to - but this will be hard to beat. If you are in the area - STAY HERE!!

Best B&B in Canada!!

We stayed here for 3 nights, and loved every minute of it. If you want to get away from it all - stay here. I would highly recommend it. Room was comfortable & clean and QUIET. Lovely view of the mountains from Pocahontas room, and only 1 morning was it misty. Saw some lovely sunrises. Breakfast was wonderful - (and healthy) and there was plenty to choose from. So much that Glenda always gave us some snack or other to take with us for the day. Even a thermos when we went to the icefields, so we could have a picnic. Breakfasts were the best bit of the day - we really had to drag ourselves away from the wonderful conversations...(we miss that!!!) Cheers to Glenda & Bob for doing a wonderful job. It was a pleasure to stay with you. We arrived as strangers and left as friends!! Will DEFINITELY stay here again if we are around that part of the world.

A Great B&B

We really enjoyed our stay here & Glenda & Bob were very good hosts, being very friendly & helpful. Our room was beautiful with a lovely balcony where we could sit out in the evening & watch the Humming Birds feeding & also the view of all the trees & mountains were beautiful. The breakfasts were different every morning & all were very enjoyable. Do not be put off by all the rules & regulations as they are really a delightful couple.

Perfect Vacation!

Wyndswept is an amazing bed and breakfast. Our room was beautiful with an excellent view. The drive to the bed and breakfast was excellent. We saw wildlife trip we took into and out of Jasper National Park. The owners are wonderful and excellent hosts. Thanks to their suggestions we saw every animal on our list and enjoyed beautiful hikes. I would highly recommend staying here if it is your first time to Jasper since the owners know the area and have connections.

Great Place to Stay!

This place is excellent. The rooms were good, the views beautiful, the breakfasts as fantastic as everyone else says and the hosts helpful and attentive. Highly recommended. It's true that the email (about arrival time and the need for slippers) seemed a bit brusque but it in no way reflected the attitude once you arrived which was friendly and welcoming.

Great accomodations, wonderful hosts, spectacular views.

Had a wonderful three night stay in the spacious, well appointed Wildflower Suite sporting beautiful mountain views. Bob and Glends provided gourmet breakfasts and were helpful and gracious hosts regarding our every need. Top notch, one of the best B&Bs we have ever stayed at.

Fabulous views and great breakfasts in a homey environment.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay. We were greeted warmly on arrival and assisted with our luggage. Because of an unexpected cancellation we were upgraded to a room with outstanding views. The breakfasts are fabulous; original meals cooked that morning, and vary each day. They are truly special and enjoyed with other guests in a leisurely manner. The hosts are gracious with local information on daily activities and a loaner pass to Jasper National Park. Wyndswept is about 35 minutes east of Jasper. The drive is full of beautiful scenery and wildlife. We saw elk, deer, and big horn sheep on our trips. We highly recommend it.

Wyndswept is a lovely B & B in every way.

The hosts are friendly and helpful. When we were there unseasonal snow covered the area but Bob the owner insisted on ringing a nearby information centre to check what the weather was like. His kind wife did some laundry for us and we were treated to lovely breakfasts which were really 4 or 5 star hotel standard. Lovely. The location is great and we enjoyed the nearby trails and walked up the local peak Sulphur Ridge which was a beautiful spot. It takes 2 hours or so to get to the top but its well worth it. Again recommended by our hosts. Out of 10? Well, it is a 10 out of 10 from me. An excellent stay with a lovely family and great room facilities too.

Large, immaculate, comfortable suite, gracious hosts

We stayed in the Wildflower Suite for two nights in mid September. Unfortunately there was cloud cover so we missed the wonderful view that we knew was out there. Our suite was huge, very comfortable and had everything we needed. Bob prepared very large and delicious breakfasts each morning and entertained us with interesting tales about the area. Glenda offered to do a load of laundry for us, which was above and beyond what one would expect. Bob and Glenda gave us excellent information and ideas for things to do and see. When we left we were sent on our journey with apples and cookies. We had a delightful stay.

Wonderful.....Relaxing

My spouse and I had a wonderful experience at Wyndswept. The setting was beautiful and the Pansy room was large and we were very comfortable. Bob and Glenda are kind, down to earth people who put people at ease immediately. Breakfast was amazing and Bob entertained us with amusing stories. He also provided us with travel trips for the surrounding areas. I would definitely recommend this B & B to anyone who is looking for accomodations in the Jasper area.

Highly recommended, five stars level”

On our trip to Rocky Mountains we stayed in few B&B's but I have to say that this one was the best. Everything was great. It was really wonderful experiance to stay in the Wyndswept B&B.Glenda treated us helpfully, gave recommendation about itinerary and supplied back pack with all stuff you need for tracks. Returning at evening to Wyndswept was pleasant: the spacious, well furnitured and clean room waited for you. About dining: At morning Glenda prepared delicious breakfast and for dinner she gave us very useful recommendations for nearby restaurants. I could tell more and more but as a bottom line this is a 5 star B&B.

Wonderful place, super luxurious rooms, excellent views, great breakfasts.

We stayed for two nights while on a touring holiday from the UK driving. We had a most enjoyablle stay, rooms are excellent, the views are stunning across the valley and to the mountains, breakfasts are huge and great quality setting you up for the day site seeing or walking in the Jasper National Park. Very helpful and friendly owners who helped with our luggage on arrival and departure and provided us with directions to our next destination. If we are in the area again would certainly stay here and highly recommend this place to other travellers.

Top notch B&B

A very nice B&B and while Bob and Glenda where out of town on personal business they left their B&B in the very capable hands of Gail, a marvellous host and really knows how put on a breakfast, and entertain as well, is there no end to her talents! We stayed in the Pocohontas room, truly delightful, couldn't ask for anything more. Whilst the B&B is out of town, the town of Jasper is not the reason you would be travelling to this area and there are plenty of eating options in Hinton only about 10~15 minutes drive, there is no point me repeating what is said below, except to say that if you are visiting Jasper National Park why would you want to stay anywhere else? Our only problem was we only had 3 days there.
